Procurement Engineer / GET (Fresher)

1. Position Overview
The Procurement Engineer/GET will support sourcing, purchasing, and vendor coordination for solar power plant projects or solar module manufacturing operations. The role focuses on timely procurement of quality materials at optimized costs while ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Procurement & Purchasing

Assist in procurement of materials such as:
Solar Power Plant: Modules, inverters, structures, cables, BOS items
Manufacturing Plant: Glass, EVA, back sheet, frames, junction boxes, wafers
Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
Follow up with vendors for order confirmation and delivery schedules

B. Vendor Management

Support vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding
Compare quotations (cost, quality, delivery terms)
Coordinate with approved vendors for material supply
Maintain vendor master data

C. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with:

Engineering
Quality
Stores & Logistics
Production / Project teams
Track material dispatch and delivery status
Support resolution of supply-related issues

3. Skills Required
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of:
Solar power systems OR module manufacturing components
Procurement & supply chain concepts
Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials)
MS Excel, ERP/SAP (basic or willingness to learn)
Soft Skills
