Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of solar modules and solar EPC projects within the assigned region. The role involves developing channel partners, managing key accounts, generating project leads, closing utility/commercial/industrial (C&I) solar projects, and achieving revenue and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies for solar modules and solar power projects (Rooftop & Ground Mount)
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for module sales and EPC/project business
• Identify and develop new customers including EPC contractors, developers, distributors, corporates, and government bodies
• Generate and convert leads for C&I, utility-scale, rooftop, and open-access solar projects
Channel & Key Account Management
• Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors, dealers, EPC partners, and system integrators
• Build strong relationships with key accounts, consultants, and decision-makers
• Ensure partner performance, credit control, and payment collections
Market Intelligence & Strategy
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and policy/regulatory developments
• Identify new market opportunities, upcoming projects, and regional demand trends
• Provide regular sales forecasts, MIS reports, and market feedback to management
Team Management
• Lead and manage regional sales executives and support staff
• Set targets, review performance, and provide training and mentoring
• Ensure alignment with company goals and compliance with sales processes

Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of solar PV modules, inverters, BOS, EPC costing, and project execution
• Proven ability in B2B sales, channel sales, and project-based selling
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of government policies, MNRE guidelines, and tender processes
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / MBA (Marketing preferred)
• 8–15 years of experience in solar module sales and/or solar EPC project sales
• Experience handling regional markets and large accounts
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
